Dagger Team Video Coming Soon!!!!

After a long spring and summer of filming all over the country, Team D is nearly ready for the launch of its first video in 6 years. With a focus on the fun of paddling, this video will showcase Dagger paddlers as they hit the road in their Subaru’s headed to competitions, festivals, big waves, steep creeks and even a bit of recreational and touring paddling in Colorado.
“This video is going to share the passion for paddling that we have at Dagger,” says Ken “hobie” Hoeve, Dagger’s brand manager. “We did nothing but travel and film all season to bring a documentary of life on the road with our team. Dagger is all about being ‘wherever there’s water’ and this video will reflect that feeling and have loads of great footage.”
The video starts off discussing the history and progress of Dagger and shares an inside look into the travels and adventures of pro paddlers living on the road.
As Hoeve explains, “When you are a paddler it is all about the river, but it is also about the places it takes you. Our new video is a glimpse into the lives of our top athletes doing everything from winning creek races and running stout rapids to enjoying a day on the lake with friends.
The DVD is more than just a promo video; it will be an interactive guide into the NEW Dagger. There are several hidden DVD@ccess links and a menu of links to the web, when viewed from one’s computer. It will cover Dagger’s podcasts, sponsors, boats, athletes and be more of a documentary rather then be just loud music and chaos. We have the rowdy rapids but we also did it so the viewer will have a feeling of life on the road. It is an awesome film!”
Edited and produced by Team Dagger paddler and Devious.tv’s Matt Solomon, the video had a family vibe going into it. “Hobie and I have been talking about the making of this video for over a year. We looked at all the videos that are out there and wanted to do something different. Something new that viewers would watch and have a better understanding of Dagger and paddle sports. This video is a perfect balance of high voltage creek runs and epic play boating, but at the same time it educates viewers about Dagger’s products and commitment to the paddling community. I am excited to debut the video at Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City and start sending out copies. People are going to love it!”
The video will have its first public showing at the Confluence Water Sports booth at the Outdoor Retailer show and be available for distribution after the show.
Hoeve concludes, “It is going to share with everyone what we are about at Dagger: paddling, having a great team, being in the water, and making the best boats in the World.”
