Dagger in Central Park

Dagger’s presence was unmistakable this past weekend in Central Park, New York City! From Adventure’s NYC on Saturday to Outdoor Nation on Sunday, red and black flags were flying as we partnered with several different organizations in the outdoor industry to promote paddling for all ages and walks of life.

Dagger partnered with Wilderness Systems and Eastern Mountain Sports on Saturday to create the Adventures NYC Paddlezone. The Paddlezone successfully got over 700 people of all ages paddling on the Lake! As the most successful Paddlezone in the history of Adventures NYC, this particular event introduced new people of all walks of life to the paddling world, helping to grow our sport and hopefully get people hooked on the great outdoors for life.

Outdoor Nation is a growing community of young outdoor enthusiasts and advocates, and our parent company, Confluence Watersports, sponsored five young paddlers to attend the Youth Summit in Central Park on Sunday. Five hundred youth delegates from all 50 states gathered to champion the outdoors for all Americans, brainstorming ways to influence youth to get off of the couch and into the outdoors.
