About Me:
My name is Todd Wells and I have been paddling since I was 12 years old. I learned to paddle on the White Salmon, Klickitat and Little White Salmon Rivers in Southern Washington. I enjoy sharing stories from challenging whitewater expeditions through film, photography, public speaking presentations and written articles. Exploratory paddling is my focus, but I enjoy racing too and every now and then I like to step out of my comfort zone and paddle some big scary whitewater!

Why I Love Kayaking:
To paddle challenging whitewater I feel that I have to dedicate myself to the river. Some people call it finding their flowstate, others describe whitewater as dynamic, and what I feel most when I paddle is a sense of humility and acceptance that I am traveling with a force far stronger than my own.
Kayaking Accomplishments:
National Geographic Young Explorer, world record holder for longest distance paddled in 24 hours, first descents on rivers around the world, published author, and fundraiser for non-profit river conservation organizations.
Most Memorable Moment in Your Kayak:
First Descent of the Rio Zamora with my good friend Galen Volckhausen.
