  • I've paddled over 1500 miles on my Alchemy. This a great boat to develop skills on. Its fast, maneuverable, and a joy to paddle. It cuts through fast currents. It edges like a champ. Overall the best 14 foot poly kayak money can buy.

  • Amazing kayak! I was able to safely complete a 111 mile solo trip from Key Largo to Key West with this kayak - amazing since prior to this trip I had paddled a combined total of ~15 miles over 6 months or so. I would never recommend someone new to the sport to take on a long solo trip like this (if I had the choice to go back in time I would have learned a few more skills before attempting such a long paddle), but the kayak handled incredibly and is surely a large part of the reason I was able t

  • I had my Alchemy 14.0L for about 2 years, and it is a GREAT boat! I used it primarily on rivers and lakes. For the rivers it was great. A very highly maneuverable and quick reacting boat. And also very stable in rough water, and twisting currents and eddy's. On the lakes it also performs well. The high Sierra lakes I paddled on always have strong winds in the afternoon, which can raise some good waves at times. But the Alchemy always handled well. And when it was calm, the boat had a goo

  • Love my Alchemy 14.0L. Good for flat water paddles but great in the lumpy stuff. Been having an awesome time surfing with it out here on the Oregon coast!
