Dagger is yet again returning as the premier sponsor of the King Of New York race series in 2014.
The series will feature the same courses as before (Black River, Raquette River, Beaver River, and the Moose River), but there are some changes to announce for this year.
There will be more prizes (among the grand prize of a Dagger Green Boat), more ways to win these prizes (a new lottery system), new tracking of female only classes, a double header freestyle competition, and the additional inclusion of the Moose Race to count towards the AWP World Series.

Exploring Antioquia - New Video from Mountain Mind Collective

Dagger athletes Brendan and Todd Wells are either excellent kayakers who make great films, or excellent filmmakers who are great at kayaking. Either way, their latest video, "Exploring Antioquia" is an amazing look into the big water paradise that is Columbia. Featuring the first descent of the canyon section Rio Cauca, as well as a 55-mile float through the highly volatile Rio Nechi, which is controlled by FARC guerillas, this video has it all. Check it out!
Tyler Bradt and his friends have had quite the epic journey so far. After leaving Tasmania, they sailed through a massive storm to the Soloman Islands, and then on to Indonesia, where they battled customs officials for a month before securing a visa.
Tom Janney's very sobering account of his descent of the North Fork of the San Joaquin, which included a devestating injury to paddler Thomas Moore. Stay safe out there!
It was a great Raquette Race! Big thanks to organizer Kenny Unser for making it happen.
Team Dagger had a great showing, with Geoff Calhoun taking first, Ryan Mooney taking sixth, and Quality Control manager Wade Harrison showing up and taking 15th. Overall, 7 of the top 10 finishers won in Green Boats. Go fast, take chances!
Congratulations to Dagger athletes Geoff Calhoun and Ryan Mooney for tying for first at this year's Eagle Race in New York.
The short, steep racecourse punishes mistakes and rewards those who let it fly. We are very proud of our athletes and of the fact that the top six finishers were in Green Boats. Full results are below:
