About Me:
I’ve been obsessed with traveling and exploring rivers since I first began running whitewater over fifteen years ago. I learned to paddle in the now-meca of whitewater, the Columbia River Gorge. My focus in kayaking right now is exploration of new or seldom run rivers, particularly in Alaska.

Why I Love Kayaking:
I love spending nights camping out next to the river, deep in the wilderness, with no one except close friends around the campfire.
Kayaking Accomplishments:
Several first descents in Alaska, record for the most miles paddled in 24hours (287 miles from Marsh Creek, through the MF Salmon, to near the confluence of the Snake River). Podium in several downriver freestyle and whitewater races.
Most Memorable Moment in Your Kayak:
Padding unrecognizable rapids on the Salmon River at night at record flows, trying to make the most miles possible in 24 hours. (Sleep deprivation-induced hallucinations made it especially memorable)
